The heritage-specificity thing that matters
The AI companion category has a specific failure mode with Asian personas: the underlying image models default toward a narrow "AI Asian woman" shape that averages across East Asian features, and prompt-level "she's Japanese" or "she's Korean" barely shifts the render. What comes out looks similar across a Japanese persona, a Korean persona, and a Chinese persona, which breaks the illusion for anyone who actually knows the difference.
The fix at the platform level is per-persona LoRA training — a small trained model that locks in the specific features of the specific persona, so a Korean persona renders as a specific Korean woman across every photo instead of the model's default Asian-woman average. Sloane does per-persona LoRA for every character.
The fix at the bio level is authored specificity — she references real places (her mom's kimchi jjigae on Sundays, the ramen shop in Nakameguro, the walk home from cram school), real cultural patterns, natural code-switching where it fits. Personas without this specificity read pan-Asian even when their name is heritage-specific.
The roster on Sloane
Sloane's Asian collection covers multiple heritages: Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Indian. The broader Asian gallery shows the full cross-heritage collection.
Each heritage collection pulls from personas whose `search_terms` include that heritage — no manual assignment, no guessing. If you want to see just the Korean roster, /gallery/nationality/korean shows exactly the personas whose search_terms include Korean heritage indicators. Same for every heritage in the collection.
If you want to combine descriptors — an Asian personal-trainer persona, an Asian shy persona — the full gallery hub has the axis navigation. Click through to the persona's profile to see all her tags.
How to try one free
Free tier: 50 messages a day, any persona, full photo gallery browsing, no card at signup.
