Sloane is operated by Maywood Digital Services LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller responsible for the information described in this Policy.
1. Overview
Sloane is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We designed this platform with discretion as a core value — we collect only what we need and share as little as possible.
2. Information We Collect
Account information — email address and password when you sign up.
Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
Usage data — messages, preferences, and interactions with the Service, including conversation history used to power memory features.
Technical data — approximate location (country-level, used for access control) and basic analytics (page views and navigation patterns) collected through our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address, device fingerprint, or browser details in our database.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Service
- Power personalization and memory features
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Communicate with you about your account
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
4. What We Do Not Do
We do not:
- Sell your personal data or conversation history to third parties
- Use your conversations to train AI models
- Share your identity or account information publicly
- Display advertising based on your personal data
5. Conversation Data
Conversations are stored to power the memory features that make the Service work. You can delete your account and associated data at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data and conversation history are removed immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone.
6. Discretion
We understand that many users value privacy. We use discreet billing descriptors on payment statements and do not reference the Service name in external communications without your consent.
7. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Service providers necessary to operate the platform — including payment processing, cloud infrastructure, AI content generation, voice synthesis, and email delivery — under strict confidentiality agreements and limited to the data required for their function
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process
- Successors in the event of a merger or acquisition, with advance notice to users
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit via TLS. Our infrastructure providers maintain encryption at rest for stored data. Access to user data is restricted by role-based policies at the database level. No system is completely secure — please use a strong password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data through your account settings
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app support chat available from your dashboard.
10. Children
Sloane is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly.
11. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. We do not automatically delete conversations or messages — your history is yours until you choose to delete your account. Financial transaction records may be retained after account deletion as required for legal and accounting purposes.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
